Learning Embroidery Stitches is Now Easier Than Ever Before
Would you like to learn some simple embroidery stitches?
Learning how to embroider could bring you hours of pleasure. There's nothing better than sitting down to relax of an evening with an embroidery project. There's something wonderful about the constant motion and it's very rewarding to watch an embroidery project take shape within a few hours of sewing.
Once you master some of the most common embroidery stitches you will find that creating something truly beautiful for a special friend or family member is really quite easy. Imagine the possibilities. Making something original and heart felt is a gesture that will always be cherished. Giving a hand made gift reflects something about you to the receiver and lets them know how much you care.
Some of my most treasured possessions are hand embroidered items once belonging to my grandmother. She loved to embroider and was always busy working with a needle and thread. I was always intrigued by the wonderful things she created and was lucky enough to have some of these items given to me as gifts.
Thankfully she was very patient and soon had me by her side showing me how to work simple embroidery stitches. Today as I teach my own children this valuable skill and past time I am reminded of how grateful I am to my Grandmother for inspiring me to pick up a needle and thread.
Sewing is now very much apart of my life and I gain much happiness by sharing my embroidery skills with others. I hope I can inspire others to learn how to embroider, and in doing so give them a gift that can last a lifetime.
In keeping with this goal I have designed a series of videos that demonstrate embroidery stitches. Now it's possible to watch over my shoulder and hear me explain which embroidery stitch I am working. Through the videos I am able to reach out to all those people who would like to learn embroidery stitches but don't know where to start.
The videos cover all the basics to get you going and demonstrate the 10 most common embroidery stitches. And the amazing part is that they can be downloaded to your computer in a flash so that you can watch them whenever you like. I even include one of my original designs and show you how to apply the embroidery stitches to a project. You will be able to practice the embroidery stitches with me as we work through the pattern together.

I have included two videos here for you. The first covers the basics to embroidery such as threading a needle, starting and finishing your work, how to seperate your embroidery thread, how to tie a knot and how to use an embroidery hoop. This is important for working embroidery stitches and I highly recommend using a hoop especially if you are a beginner. It also demonstrates one of the easiest embroidery stitches to master, Back Stitch. This is the most common stitch used for Redwork embroidery.
With video demonstrations, it's now easier than ever to learn embroidery stitches. So do yourself a favor and try your hand at this timeless skill. It could be one of the best decisions you make this year!
